What is an LPC?
A Livestock Possession Certificate records who holds an animal at the time of registration and verification. It is not a proof of ownership or title.
Who can verify a record?
Verification is available only to authorised partners — banks, NBFCs and insurers — who have been granted access. There is no public lookup.
How is an animal identified?
By its ear tag, its unique Animal ID, and a muzzle-biometric signature captured during KYC.
Are verification charges applicable?
Yes. Partner charges depend on the billing profile agreed with GAON NASP — free, per-call, or a bulk rate.
